Description
A simple development arduino shield for programming Attiny13 or attiny 85, all eight pins output, and on board testing LED on pin2 (PB3). Great for making small fun projects.
Features:
- Simple and cheap Attiny 8 pins IC programming shield.
- All eight pins of IC is lead out on the side
- Testing LED is selectable by jumper.
- Extra reset capacitor support to reset target when upload code again without re-power it.
How to use:
- Flash the arduino main board with arduinoISP sketch
- plug the shield on the arduino, and start to flash boot-loader and sketch.
Note:
- Board is a kit only, you need to solder it by yourself.
- NOT including any Attiny main IC chips.
Extra Options:
- You can buy Attiny13A here.
- You can upgrade it to a SMD flash kit by add this programming socket here. Use plug-in and out pin headers like this.

Quick to solder together and works well with the SOP8 to DIP8 adapter to program the little surface mount attiny85’s. It is nice that the attiny85 pins are pulled out so you can do some quick sanity testing right in the programmer.
I wish it had the three LED’s (heartbeat/program/error) that the “Arduino as ISP” sketch provides to give programming status. It provides one LED but that is hooked up to the attiny85 being programmed for testing.
