    This one is the Good One. Shielded for unwanted emissions, easy to mount an SMC connector and 433 MHz antenns’a @ $2.00 – $4.00 make the best possible use of the +20 DBM (100 mW of power). With the antenns’a away from city noise and mounted about 5 feet in the air vertically the radios ‘should’ be capable of 2 km or more I’ve measured 2.3 km (about 1.5 Mi).

    I am Using two SI4432 at 3.3V with DIY 5V Arduino and 74HC4050 interface

    Software : RadioHead library
    #include
    #include
    #include
    #include // I2C library
    driver.setFrequency(434.0, 0.05);
    driver.setTxPower(RH_RF22_TXPOW_20DBM ); // sender +20dbm
    driver.setModemConfig(RH_RF22::GFSK_Rb2_4Fd36); ///< GFSK, No Manchester, Rb = 2.4kbs, Fd = 36kHz

    antenne DIY dipol 2x166mm at 1.5m height
    sending data packets receiving OK
    measured range 3 km nearly open field -94dBm
    using 140mA for 1 Hour from Lipo 7.3V battery
