10 reviews for High-Light Full-White 10W Power LED

I bought one of these 10W LEDs just for fun because of the low price — I wasn’t expecting much. To my surprise it is very bright and robust. Definitely brighter than you can stand to look at directly. I have yet to even take it all the way up to 10W. I can only imagine how bright that will be.
At this very low price point it is a heck of a bargain.

I ordered three for testing. These LEDs are very bright! Naturally you need a good heat sink to operate them at full power. I will definitely order some more!

I have years of experience with LED lighting, particularly for flashlights. Cree and dozens top-quality brands make LEDs of this type (yellow silicone gel phosphor, evident in the picture). For example, on Mouser, Cree has a selection of LEDs very similar to this one, and they cost $17 each. They produce about ~115 lumens per watt.

I personally own some, as well as some of this product from electrodragon. At 25°C, these LEDs produce roughly 90-95 lumens per watt. The light quality they output is just as good as a high end Cree LED, and while I have not done any real measurements on how consistent the color temperature of these electrodragon LEDs are to each other, I do have more than one ordered months apart, and they are close enough in color that I can’t tell any difference with my eyes.

They are capable of the same light output (just at a slightly higher power draw), and at the same excellence in light quality, and are definitely not as efficient as high end LEDs, but the difference is small. Basically, these LEDs are just as good as high end quality brand ones, and while they are about 10-15% less efficient, they cost 90% less. You can buy 10 of these for the price of one Cree 10W LED. And for what? An extra 10-15% efficiency?

Basically, these LEDs have the best price/performance ratio I’ve ever seen, and by a huge margin. Buy them. Buy a lot of them. Buy all of them. I promise you, when you lay on your death bed, whatever regrets you may have, buying these LEDs will not be one of them.

I like these ones, they are great for the cost, I agree with metacollin, although I haven’t bought quite as many.
