ESP8266 Flash Firmware
All the relevant items can be purchased from www.electrodragon.com! items used in here including:
- ESP-07 with on board status LED (ESP-12 LED will not work for arduino blink sketch)
- ESP breakout board
- CH340 USB-TTL programmer
- breadboard and a few jumper wires.
First try with default AT commands firmware, using esp flash download tool, test with “Cool term” serial monitor tool:
Flash for Nodemcu firmware, use nodemcu flasher, flashing speed set to 115200, you can see the TX/RX LED blinking in turns on CH340 board:
Flash arduino firmware, it is no matter what is the built in interpreter, the arduino IDE will rewrite all, on this esp-07 board, LED will blink after flashed the firmware.

These are great for Arduino, but the 8266 is more powerful than the Arduino.
How ridiculous – the ESP is no way more powerful than the Arduino – less bits, slower, less pins, less memory.
Doh… ignore me. Was looking at my ESP-01 and realised the only place it was ‘worse’ than my Nano was in pins. In every other respect it kicks ass!
Hi
I have flash your ESP relay board using nodemcu firmware for luna.
But I could not work with Esplorer, it doesn’t communicate with Esplorer.
My ESP8266 12E has worked well with Esplorer as I pushed reset button.
But Your relay board ahs not get reset button.
Pls let me know how to solve this trouble?
I am looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
